Saturday 19th March – Lent Reconciliation Service at 11am. St. Mary’s Church, Standishgate.
A big thank you to our youth “The Youth Effect” for last week’s service and to the U.C.M. for the lovely daffodils.
Alice Alker has been keeping our altar brasses clean and shiny for many, many years, but she is no longer able to do this. If anyone is able and willing to find out what is involved please let Alice know , and if you don’t know Alice see me . Jim
P.P.C.  The P.P.C. AGM will take place on 10th April after Mass. This year five members of the P.P.C. are due to leave as their term of office is at an end. We are looking for parishioners who would be interested in becoming a member, meetings take place once a month on a Sunday evening. If you think that you may be interested, talk to a current member of the P.P.C. to find out more.
Retirement All members of the parish are invited to attend the retirement mass for Mrs Jane Rogers Deputy Headteacher of St. Aidan’s Catholic primary School. This will take place on Tuesday 15th march at 6pm in St. Aidan’s Church, with refreshments afterwards in the parish Centre.
Please see the green notice in the church porch for those intending to go on the Pilgrimage to the Door of Mercy at the Cathedral on Saturday 9th April.
A reminder to parishioners, old and new. Tea and coffee is served after Mass in the Social Centre next door. Please come and share with us in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Thank You for our Lent Fast Day collection. We collected £555.26, this will be matched by the Government. We also had £327.00 Gift Aided which adds another £81.75, this gives a total of £1192.27. A massive thank you
