Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy. Dr. Unsworth’s talk last Friday at St. Johns was a very interesting & enlightening presentation. This is only the 3rd such Extraordinary Jubilee in the history of the Church. Jubilee years stem from the Jewish tradition when debts were cancelled, prisoners let free etc. Jesus begins his ministry with just such a proclamation. “The spirit of the Lord has been given to me….to proclaim the Lord’s year of favour”. Please support Dr. Unsworth’s second presentation on Friday 11th March at 7pm in St John’s Church.
We welcome Eddison Harry Greenwood, Declan Thomas Naylor, Athena Fai Ho-McKenna & Jayden Finley Downham who were baptised here at St. Aidan’s last Sunday
Easter Readings Would anyone wishing to read from Palm Sunday to Easter, please sign up in the porch, also if you would like to become a reader you are very welcome. If interested, phone Paul Murphy on 01942 215713
Alice Alker has been keeping our altar brasses clean and shiny for many, many years, but she is no longer able to do this. If anyone is able and willing to find out what is involved please let Alice know , and if you don’t know Alice see me, Jim
